Toronto Spotting Sept. 27 including Trudeau Force One

Nice afternoon at the airport today.

The very short lived SkyGreece Airlines, now bankrupt and their sole 767 waiting for a new operator.

Since Kelowna lost the Purolator contract, they have moved operations to YYZ from Hamilton. Nice to see 727s and DC-10 freighters again.

Really too bad the Nolinor Convair was parked so close to the fence. Wish Gemini would release this in any scale.

And Liberal candidate Justin Trudeau was in town, best painted aircraft out of all 3 candidates.

And a few departures from RW23.

Nice pictures Mathieu. I like the political 737. Not something you'd see in Europe (probably because at least here in the UK, an airline throwing behind one candidate would get crucified).

What's the attitude to spotters in Canada? Positive, negative or somewhere in between?

Great pictures Mathieu. Beautiful paint job on Trudeau's B737. Fancy new winglets and all.

Thanks a lot. Regarding the Trudeau 737, I need to clarify that it is not the airline sponsoring him. The distances in Canada are so long that candidates charter aircraft to allow them to campaign throughout the country. The Trudeau team chartered this 737 from Air Transat. I'd say the attitude towards spotters is quite positive. A number of airports have dedicated spotter groups that work together with the authorities and law enforcement is normally quite tolerant. Using scanners and tuning to ATC frequencies is allowed and doesn't require any kind of license or registration. The only time you may get into an issue is with the FBO's as they deal with private jets, celebs, etc.

Thanks! Yes if the election was about the candidate's aircraft liveries, Justin would get my vote
