Well, I always thought Eastern Express kits were pretty crude and did wonder if this was the old VEB mould, but it looks far too good for that and guess it's a new tooling. What alternative decals come with this kit?

    Very nice Steve!

The missing B.707s still needed to be done: Uganda Airlines, Air Zimbabwe (rainbow scheme), Air Niugini. TMA of Lebanon (with correct Lemon colour tail)

DC-8s still needed to be done: UAT, Iberia ('80s scheme), Air Ceylon, Surinam Airways, Air Spain, Seaboard World (-63)

1/400 scale new mould wish list ; Tupolev Tu-114, Tu-134, Antonov An-12, An-24, Bristol 170 Freighter Mk.31, Armstrong-Whitworth Argosy, Airspeed Ambassador, Avro York

Thanks, the EA kits now are very nicely done. The fit is good and the detail is great, still the wing joints and the engine assembly where it joins the wing requires a bit if putty and sanding. The decals are greatly improved, they used to just fall apart when you dipped them in water, they are stronger now and much easier to work with. The other set I believe was CSA. They provide a winshield deal now so you don't have to use the clear plastic.

Fantastic work, Steve! Even though i've tried to convince myself to stop buying kits, i feel my fingers getting itchy.

Must... Resist... Urge to buy... This kit!

    Man I'm with you!
    I feel the same way.

I LOVE the IL-18 and Steve's fantastic job really has me wanting one!
I'll even bet someone makes other excellent decals besides the kit offerings...
