    RIP Gerry Anderson.

You were the true Guru of science fiction, and your movies & TV shows, of the best ever!

Journey to the Far Side of the Sun (1969) was one of those truly amazing films!
    Thank-you!

I was lucky enough to meet Gerry Anderson when he came to our local theatre and gave a lecture with films about how they made the TV series. He also brought some actual studio models along. I took this photo then, in May 1992 (can't believe that was 20 years ago!) and you can see the models on the stage.

UFO & Space:1999 (Season 1) were my faves. Some of the best live action sci-fi out there: still. They still have some of the best opening themes of any TV show or movie, for that matter. And yes, I know it's Barry Gray who composed the themes.
