    Well here we go!!

Being the Lockheed junkie that I was back then I hung around the Burbank plant allot and got my A$$ invited to the employee Open House up North and the Palmdale Assembly Plant that at the time had the Australian P-3 Orion's on the line. The year was 1978.

And if anyone can add more background information on these planes I would really appreciate it. Thank You!

    The Pictures... all from slides.

Me three! 1/200 scale for me!

I started a separte thread although I wanted this one to contiume but for two hours no one was looking at this one.

    Maybe next time.

Getting ready now is a few of my LAX spotting from the 1970's and from the taxiways and not from outside the fence!!

These take an enormous amount of work to ready as they were taken on film as slides and not digitally.

Editing the 1970's LAX airliner set when I go and find 16 more slides of the same group. This is going to take some time.

31 total Pictures but you are going to like them... ALLOT!

    There will be DC-8's

Once again it was 1978. A good year as far as Aviation was to me.

Los Angeles International Airport LAX had airshow back then and while they were mostly static displays the back ground for the shows were full blown airport operations as can be seen in these photos.

We start with this beautiful American Airlines Boeing 747

Western B707,Continental DC-10,and I think the B727 is also Western? A little LA haze and smog as well.
