    This is awesome stuff Sal.
Dare I even hope that you're holding some Convair jets in reserve???

Thanks for the DC-8s. Classics one and all.
Wouldn't it be something to have Inflight work up some turbojet 707s, the likes of that BOAC and Air France. Complete with that classic aft ventral fin.

    Looking forward to more.

I kinda like the BOAC the best. Great livery, great plane, and nice engine configuration. I really like the painted pylon tips. That's a BOAC 707 at it's best folks!

OK, so it was only one flight, for a short time, and in a shallow dive. It still counts!

    Excellent photos Sal.
"Oliver" needs to see the VIASA 880 shots with the TWA T5 going up in the background. In fact, do you have any others that have that terminal in the photo too?

    Thanks for all your efforts!

OK, inspired by the shots taken at Manchester I took a trip up into the loft and dug out some old pictures. For all the time I spent watching aircraft from various airports in the UK, but mainly Manchester, I didn't take that many photos and those I did are totally rubbish by today's standards. You must remember that I had a cheap camera with a fixed focal length and no zoom. But the pictures still bring back happy memories.

G-BAZI sits behind G-BECH. Two Britannia 737s await their load of holidaymakers. Manchester 16 July 1978

Definitely not the best shot but the subject is interesting - Royal Swazi Viscount 3D-ACN at Manchester 16 July 1978

Dan-Air Comet 4C, G-BDIW showing just how close up and personal you could get to the aircraft in those days. Manchester 15 July 1978

    Dan-Air 727-100 G-BAJW at Manchester on 22 July 1978. I particularly like this one as I've just received the IF200 Dan-Air 721 and I'm smitten with it.

BA Super VC10 G-ASGH pushes back in front of 747 G-AWNI on 22 July 1978. Just lovely

    More later folks
    Try a little VC10derness
