Well, I wasn't going to get it but in the end I bit the bullet and did.
It arrived today. What a pleasant surprise.
The engine hang is no worse than some of the earlier "real" Big Bird models and having owned the Dragon version also, this model is far superior.
If anything, the photos taken of this model have not done it justice.
The rolling gear is also great.
Phoenix's 744 has earned it's place on my safe list.

Finally got this one! Will be nice next to other older QANTAS. Sort of looking to the new livery. Still like the first livery on that 747SP.

One of probably many collectors not holding a grudge toward any model manufacturers.
Probably a lot cheaper than what I paid for the Tucano version I have.![]()

I finally managed to pick one of the PHX Qantas 747's up the other day on Ebay - paid £25 for it, which seeing as its been quite a hard one to get hold of, wasn't bad!![]()

I just checked the pics on the database for this model. It looks like the nosegear strut is too long. Is it just this one model in the pic or are they all like it? Great looking paint job BTW.
