QANTAS 707-138

Just received my QANTAS 707-138, Nice model, except that it should not have a ventral fin and taller dorsal fin of the modified 707-138B.
This model is shown as a 138B with the wrong engine pods of P&W JT3C-6 engines. This combination of engine and tail fins never existed.

The first 138B, the V-Jet, did fly for a short time. After the retro fit, it ferried from Seattle to Sydney. It was then flown to Richmond Air Force base in Western Sydney for the re paint into V-Jet livery.

I pointed this out months ago however in keeping with their reputation for screwing up models of Australian airliners, they appear to have screwed up yet again.

Well not really a total screw up. The aircraft is accurate, but was only like that for a few weeks.

Tnat, I wasn't referring to the painting of the V-jet livery on the 138Bs. I know that there was a brief period with the original delivery livery on some modified 138Bs.
My point is that when the 138s became 138Bs, the ventral fin was added, the dorsal fin and horizontal stab was extended and the JT3C-6 turbojet engines where replaced with JT3D-1 fanjets which look totally different. All of these structural modifications were done at the SAME time.
The model reflects 138 engines with 138B empenage.
